This morning (Tuesday, May 7), the infamous trance trio Above & Beyond posted the above photo to their Facebook page. Although no details provided, I must share my excitement. As a long-time enthusiast of electronic music, my enthusiasm is amplified infinitely when a respected electronic producer portrays their extensive musical ability by producing completely different genres of music.
In regards to Above & Beyond, this isn’t the first time Jono, Paavo and Tony have ditched their studio equipment and replaced it with live instruments. In the video below, the group went on a hot air balloon trek and performed with Zoe Johnson. The passionate and emotional trance sounds translated into a live acoustic format is breathtaking to say the least. This time around, it seems that the group has something a bit more formal in the works. We will be sure to share the love when it is released.
